For the 2002/2 003
financial year the SANSOR membership boasted with a total of 107
members, comprising 66 full, 32 associate, seven affiliate and
two honorary members (see figure 1).
The membership has increased by eight members during the
period under review. Ten new members joined, i.e. Saad & Graan
Produksie, Bayer Crop Science, Sidestep Boerdery cc t/a Peanut
Bear, Skema Produkte BK, P-Farm Agente, Moorreesburgse
Koringboere (Pty) Ltd., Monanda Landboudienste (Pty) Ltd.,
Envirogrow, Seed Improvement Technologies (SITEC) and
Madzivhandila College of Agriculture. Direct Seed & Grain (Pty)
Ltd. resigned and our honorary member, Dr Fred Anderssen passed
away during the period under review.
The following members changed their company names: Uniroyal
Chemical changed to Crompton Chemical (Pty) Ltd.,
Hygrotech Saad (Pty) Ltd. changed to Hygrotech SA (Pty) Ltd.,
OTK Ltd. changed to Afgri Saad, Rhys Evans Group changed
to RE Groundnuts (Pty) Ltd. t/a Rhys Evans Groundnut Plant
and National Co-op Dairies changed to Natal Agri.
